Dettore Pizza in Monongahela

Dettore's has some of the best pizza and THE worst service in the valley. I ordered a pizza, was quoted 40 minutes, and arrived at the store 5 minutes late. The crew at Dettore's had not even started my pizza. I heard them talking amoungst themselves regarding the lost order, but nothing was said to me directly. They explained in hushed tones to the OWNER who was standing right what had happened. For the next 20 minutes I was ignored until the pizza was made, baked, and finished. I didn't leave because I had family in from out of town to help pack up my recently deceased grandmother's home, that were starving. I gave Dettore's 2 stars because they're food is good, but their service is the absolute worst. The owner is COMPLETELY aware how they treat their customers and not only condones it but colludes with the employees. My horrible experience happened a year ago and I have not been back since. My family and I want nothing to do with this business.

Second best pizza I ever ate in my life and I have had many. The only thing I would change is to provide delivery service.

Pizza is always amazing and the take out time is close to what they advise. Also! If you get veggies in the pizza they aren’t over done! Hoagies are the best as well great homemade Italian dressing! Five stars every time

The people are great, the food is great, the prices are great. Great Italian subs and Great salads. Never disappoints !

Amazing pizza. Sauce is great. Cooked perfect. Staff and owner are wonderful. Love. Love. Love. I live closer to other places and would rather take the drive here. Give them a try one time and you will be in love with the food and staff

From out of town. Ordered an extra large pizza. Could not believe how inexpensive it was and it tasted great. Ordered over the phone and it was ready when promised and nice and hot. Would definitely visit there again before leaving town.

The food is some of the best I've ever had. Homeade dough and sauce makes a big difference in taste. The only downfall I could say is the wait time can be over an hour on busy days, like Friday and Saturday.But food wise, they have the best pizza in town.

Crust was good...... Who puts canned potatoes on pizza and calls it perogi?

Best.pizza.Ever!!!! Me and my hubby have gotten pizza from here 5 weeks in a row.....every Friday!! This week will be week 6....the dough is sooooo good and fresh!!! Love the sauce... Just love it all...my hubby John ou orders 2 XL pizzas every Friday... our go to is pepperoni and sausage.... it lasts our lil family 2 days and we crave it every single friday.... we live in Belle Vernon.....but I pick my hubby up at work in Pittsburgh and we head straight there.....and the employees are soooo nice!!!

My only complaint about their pizza is, that they know it's so good that they don't deliver. They know you'll pick it up! Hmm maybe one of the new food delivery services would take care of that!!! Honestly, you must try it!!!

Foods great and the staff is always courteous and usually get your food pretty quick no delivery but I'll drive for it

They have the FRESHEST pizza! So good! If you haven't tried...do so...it's worth it!!!

Good food.Hit or miss on service. They tell you an hour on the phone and when you show up you find out your food hasn't even been started yet.

Always great hoagies! Love 'em. The staff seems a little out of it though. Every third or fourth visit something is weird. This time I went to pick up my order. Three employees just sort of ignored me for a few minutes- I was the only customer in this tiny pizza shop- until they finally asked what I wanted. Was told my order wasn't ready so I sat down. After about 10 minutes, when they had finished all the orders they had to make, they found my order... it HAD been done and was sitting on top of the oven to keep warm. It didn't phase me because that's the kind of thing that goes on there ALOT. It's also why I don't go more often. As I said though, awesome hoagies!

Some of the best veggie food in the area. Staff is super helpful and will try to make whatever you want. Strictly take out . They use fresh ingredients and every thing is delicious

I have had their pizza a couple of times and it has been delicious every time! Hot and fresh it is worth the take out only aspect! Love the breadsticks!

Just moved to Monongahela and read the reviews. So we ordered a xtra large deluxe. The slices were very narrow as if they took a large and just cut it to make it look bigger. Taste wise, sorry not very good at all.I won't be going there again.

Literally my favorite pizza place of all time! Make sure you get the thick crust pizza.

My pizza was awesome. With that said. I had to wait 15 min while it was on top of the oven. And after I asked twice. Was even handed wrong pie to. Still will give it another try . Was yummy. Nice hats

We say yes to special requests should be there motto. Great hoagies, steak is my preference. Excellent pizza with the best dough in the valley. The lunch orders are always spot on for take out! Call ahead and they are pretty accurate with the time.Everything is take out, their current location doesn't have the sit down space.
